Cathy is passionate about creating a safe space where her clients can heal and flourish while providing an excellent level of care. She treats an individual’s symptoms with respect and works together with her clients to understand their deeper meaning. Cathy takes a holistic approach to counseling and collaborates with area nutritionists, psychiatrists, and physicians as necessary to address a person’s emotional, physical, and spiritual health.
Cathy graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2003 with a Masters Degree in Counseling. She is a Licensed Counselor in the state of Florida as well as a Qualified Supervisor for counseling interns. She performs individual as well as group counseling and enjoys speaking and teaching on counseling related issues.
Cathy has experience working with a wide variety of clients struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, life transitions, spiritual issues, relational struggles, self mutilation, sexual abuse, and trauma. In addition she has extensive experience and training in the field of eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, and compulsive overeating) and a heart to see those struggling in their relationship with their body and food come to full recovery.
When Cathy is not counseling, she enjoys traveling with her husband, raising her 3 boys, enjoying and creating art, running, and good conversations with friends.
